Joanne
Dittes Yepsen has been working in the area of development and marketing
with nonprofits for 20 years. She served as Director of Public
Events and the Director of Trustee Affairs and College Events in the
Development Office and, subsequently in the President’s office at
Skidmore College from 1985 – 2000. From 1998 - 2000 she worked
with the trustees and President’s staff closely coordinating a
presidential search, a transition period between past and new
leadership and in a ten-year strategic planning process for the
College.
In the spring of 2001, Joanne launched her own business, COLTIVARE,
to assist non-profit organizations in the areas of capital and annual
campaign planning, board development, internal and external assessment,
strategic planning and event fund raising. Some clients include
the Lake George Opera Company, the Saratoga Independent School, and
Association for Retarded Citizens, Lake George Land Conservancy and the
Law, Order and Justice Center. Her professional experience has
enabled organizations to grow and strengthen by providing them with
services ranging from short-term counsel, such as assisting with a
board retreat, to longer-term projects such as leading organizations
through a strategic planning process or a capital campaign.
Rounding
out her professional experience, Joanne has also held numerous
volunteer positions in the community. She serves as Vice President of
Saratoga PLAN (Preserving Land and Nature), formerly the Open Space
Project of Saratoga; on the Board of the Saratoga County Arts Council,
where she served two years as President of the Board; the Presbyterian
New England Congregational Church; and the Saratoga Care Foundation,
chairing the annual fund division and the summer benefit in 2000.
She also served as Chair of the Skidmore College Polo Luncheon in
1998.
Joanne is a member of professional
organizations Association of Fundraising Professionals of New York
State and Women in Development. She is a 1980 graduate of
Hartwick College.
