Yepsen stands up for city's unique character
Joanne Yepsen has been actively working to ensure that our city maintains its unique character. She has long served as a voice for the arts within the county Legislature and clearly recognizes that a healthy cultural climate contributes to the overall economic and social success of our community. This remains true through her involvement with the arts district on Beekman Street.
For several months now, Joanne has been meeting with the businesses, gallery owners, cultural organizations and artists of Beekman Street to help create a vision for the future as this historical district continues to grow into a local destination. As someone who cares deeply about the future of the arts district on Beekman Street and arts programming throughout the county, I applaud Joanne for serving as an advocate for the arts and a friend of the small business owner.
Joanne Yepsen deserves to be recognized as someone who is passionate about her position as county supervisor and at the forefront of this important revitalization initiative.
